SanDisk Sansa Clip 4 GB MP3 Player for $50.89 (Gift Ideas!)
Posted by William Higgins | 11/30/2008 02:56:00 PM | amazon.com, hardware, review$5 Music (www.5dollarmusic.com) is not just about finding deals on MP3 music downloads. Once you download all the great music we feature on this site you have to have something to play them on. I admit that I do have an Apple iPod but I also have several other players around that house that are great alternatives to play your mp3 tunes. Case in point, the SanDisk Sansa Clip is a small yet powerful mp3 player that gets a lot of use around our house. The Clip is small and has a built-in clip on the back as the name suggests. Which makes this player very easy to walk or jog with. Unlike the Apple Shuffle, the Clip has a nice little screen for showing album and track information. The screen is also used to navigate the menu system and to access other features like the built-in voice recorder or the FM tuner. These are features you will not see on an Apple iPod. Best of all these players are great for kids! I have a daughter in 2nd grade that uses the Clip with no problem. Lastly, the price is the best killer feature. Right now you can get a 4GB Sansa Clip for only $34.95 with free shipping. At that price this makes the Sansa Clip an even more attractive gift idea for the holidays.
** Update **
The price went back up to $39.95.

"Twilight Original Motion Picture Soundtrack" for $3.99 on Amazon
Posted by William Higgins | 11/04/2008 09:51:00 AM | amazon.com, mp3, pop, soundtrackI am not familiar with the Twilight books or the new movie. I hear it is quite a phenomenon. I think it has something to do with teenage vampires. The soundtrack does look like a good collection of new teen-goth-pop-rock music that is popular today. The soundtrack features songs by Muse, Paramore, Linkin Park, and others. Amazon has this full DRM-free mp3 album download priced at $3.99 for a limited time.

"On The Beach" by Neil Young for $1.99 on Amazon

"On The Beach" by Neil Young is by far my favorite Neil Young album. This album was released in 1974 but it was one of the last albums to actually be released by Neil on CD. In fact, there was a website dedicated to getting Neil to release this album on CD called "Release On The Beach". It was a grass-roots fan site that was getting people to sign a petition to present to Mr. Young himself. A few years back Neil did release "On The Beach" on CD and it is as great as ever. Tracks like "Walk On", "Revolution Blues", and "Ambulance Blues" are a must listen. The whole album is fantastic but those are my favorites. This is an incredible deal to be able to snag the whole album for only $1.99!
